The author was a chaplain with the British navy at the time of the occurrence of the events described. Rare. Note this edition does not include the full page acquatint plates. It is printed in a smaller size font and has much smaller margins than the other edition.

Much on the emancipation of the slaves in Guadeloupe and other French colonies in the Caribbean but also considers the effects in the English and Dutch islands.
