Maps and prints of Jamaica for sale.  All are originals.  I do not sell reproductions.

A detailed listing of the early maps of Jamaica has been published.  'The printed maps of Jamaica up to 1825' by Capt. Kit S. Kapp was published by the Map Collectors' Circle in 1968.

Images have been cropped close to the frame of the map to keep file sizes reasonably small.  Actual margins will be greater unless noted in the description

Post and packing is extra.  After placing an order you will be advised what the total charge is by e mail.

HORRY David The Riddle of the ‘Registered’ Ovals of Jamaica and Trinidad 1949  –  1962 B.W.I.S.C. 2017 xxii + 224 large pp. 1st ed., new in card covers. In March 2015 David Horry won a Julian Chapman Scholarship, via The Royal Philatelic Society London to travel to Jamaica and try to get to the bottom of this fascinating mystery. What he has discovered may change the way we view the use of the Colonial mails in a period before telephone tapping and hacking became the norm. The Cold War was warming up, just as the sun was slowly setting on the British Empire: and the so-called ‘Registered’ Ovals started their intriguing life as instruments of surveillance!
