Depicting the route of Robert Harcourt's expedition to Guyana in 1609. Harcourt was determined to find the fabled city of El Dorado, which his predecessor Sir Walter Raleigh had failed to find. The shows Manoa or El Dorado on the western bank of the mythical Parime Lacus. The map features a vignette of Harcourt with several natives and with two ships in the background.
