Any serious collector should definitely purchase a copy of Julsen and Benders A postal history of Curacao which is a superb handbook covering all aspects of philately.

1779 (27 Oct) letter from Thomas Thompson, a planter in Grenada to his wife in England 1pp, some splitting at folds. Written from Curacao where the writer had gone to recuperate while on parole granted by the French governor of Grenada following the capture of the island earlier that year.
